We are OpenLoop, an alliance of some of the world’s greatest universities joined together with the ultimate goal of revolutionizing the future of human transportation. We are competing in the SpaceX Hyperloop Design Competition to design, build, and test a scaled-down Hyperloop pod, and with the combined resources and talent of our six prestigious institutions, we’re uniquely poised to make significant contributions to the Hyperloop project as a whole.

Cornell, Princeton, Harvey Mudd College, Memorial University, Northeastern University and the University of Michigan comprise the OpenLoop alliance. Representing over 10 different countries and spanning North America, our diverse team of engineers and businessmen have brought a fresh perspective to the Hyperloop project. Online collaboration and weekly face-to-face calls have connected our team from long-distances as we continue designing and building our pod.
